Red Brick School Faculty

Kathy Rywolt, Director (Kindergarten Teacher)

I have been teaching kindergarten at Red Brick for 6 years. Before switching to kindergarten, I taught pre-k and three year olds at Red Brick and in Cincinnati. In addition to teaching, I am also the Director of the school, a position that I also held for 10 years in Cincinnati. I have my Masters in Education from Lesley University and have been teaching for over 20 years! Assisting me in my daily activities are Miss Pat and Miss Lisa.

Holly Dwyer, Head Teacher (Kindergarten Teacher)

I have been a Kindergarten teacher at Red Brick for 13 years. I love my job! The fabulous student teacher ratio makes teaching here a joy. My classroom cannot exceed 14 students with a teacher and aide. Evelyn Capone is my assistant and is an experienced teacher as well, we are a strong team. Children are at the center of everything we do. The Director, teachers, and families have created a warm supportive nurturing community where children thrive. My past work experiences have brought me to value this unique school.

Ellen Gordon, Education Coordinator (Pre-K Teacher)

I am the preschool teacher of the 4 day 4's and the afternoon 5 day 4's classes. I have been teaching at Red Brick for 12 years. I have always loved working with small children since I began babysitting when I was 12. In middle school, I volunteered at Meeting Street School and in high school I did a senior placement in a preschool. I attended Lesley University and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I taught in East Providence for 12 years before taking time off to be with my two sons. Both of my children attended Red Brick and I loved the education they received there. Teaching at Red Brick is a wonderful experience. I have the ability to develop my own curriculum using the standards developed by the Department of Education and work with a group of talented teachers.

Wendy Iannarilli (4's Teacher)

I have been at Red Brick School for 10 years teaching 4 day 4's and previously teaching afternoon pre-k as well. I've been invoved with the school for 15 years as both my children attended pre-school and kindergarten at Red Brick. I absolutely love the school, love teaching, and feel fortunate to teach with such great people. It is an incredibly nurturing and unique environment. I work with Jane Cipolitti and together we make a great team. I have my Masters in Education from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont. Prior to Red Brick,I taught in Providence and also worked in the business world.

Nina Wilcox (4's & 3's Teacher)

I am one of the morning 4- year old teachers and the afternoon 3 day 3's teacher. Prior to being home with my two children, I was a first grade teacher in Atlanta and at Primrose Hill School in Barrington. This is my second year at Red Brick as a full time teacher, I previously taught Science enrichment at the school and was a Red Brick mom. I have my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University. I feel very fortunate to be working in such a wonderful community of teachers and assistants.

Pat Senville (3's Teacher & Assistant Kindergarten Teacher)

I am the morning 2 day 3's teacher and have worked with this age group at Red Brick for ten years! While I delight in teaching the youngest Red Brick students, I have also sought balance through working with the kindergarten class on two other days. I assist in the kindergarten and co-teach the extended day program. While growing up I always wanted to be a teacher but when there no jobs available in teaching I was guided to an alternate profession. My background is in Psychiatric Nursing and I have a B.S. in Nursing from University of Rhode Island with 12 cedits in Early Childhood Education. In addition,I have completed my level 2 certification for the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards.

Lynn Hoy (3's Teacher)

This is my 13th year of teaching three-year-old classes here at Red Brick and the children still give me joy and energy. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts and have completed the certification courses offeref by the state on the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards. Residing in Barrington for the past 20 years, I have many years of volunteer experience within the public school system (Family Math, PTO, Odyssey of the Mind, After school clubs) and in the community (Cub Scouts, Religious Education, and Youth Mission Trips). It is true that I am an advocate of volunteering and continue to do so, most recently with Children's Friend located in Providence. In addition to teaching at Red Brick, I work part-time for Looking Upwards, a non-profit agency that aims in broadening the lives of adults and children with special needs.
